Who we are

WOOOOO ("we", "us") makes an app and a bracelet built on one belief: you are more than what can be measured. This policy explains what the WOOOOO app does with information.

You are anonymous

WOOOOO needs no name, no email, no phone number, and no sign-up. When you first open the app we create a random, anonymous account so your device can send encouragement and keep your private notes. It isn't linked to your real identity.

What we store

• An anonymous account ID — a random identifier for your device. No personal details attached.
• Moments you post publicly — the text you choose to share to the community. These carry no author name; the community is anonymous by design.
• Your private Companion notes — memories and check-ins only you can ever read.
• A notification token — only if you turn notifications on, so we can send the ones you asked for.

What we do NOT do

• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party tracking or analytics that follow you around the web.
• No selling or renting your data. Ever.
• No location, contacts, photos, or health/fitness data.

Who helps us run it

A few trusted providers process data only to make the app work:

• Supabase — secure database and hosting for the above.
• OpenAI — the text of a moment is checked by an automated safety model at the moment you post it, to catch harm, hate, and to route someone in crisis to real help. It is used for that check only.
• Expo & Apple — deliver the notifications you opt into.

Your posts and vents

Moments are public and anonymous. Vents are public for 24 hours, then they leave the shared room and remain only in your own private Companion timeline. Reported content is removed from the community immediately while we review it.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your private notes in the app. To erase everything associated with your anonymous account, email us and we'll remove it. Because posts are anonymous, deleting your account removes your private data and unlinks you from any public moments.

A note on hard moments

WOOOOO is a place for encouragement, not a crisis or medical service. If you or someone else may be in danger, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line (in the US, call or text 988). The app will always try to surface real help alongside human warmth.

Children

WOOOOO is intended for people 17 and older, because the community includes candid adult experiences and discussion of hard times.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you in the app.
